Gegersuni Waste Bank Successfully Manages 202 kg of Productive Waste in Real Environmental Action

GEGERKALONG – The spirit of environmental care and community economic empowerment echoed through Gegerkalong Village as the Gegersuni Waste Bank successfully collected and managed 202 kilograms of productive waste during a routine deposit drive. The event, held by the community-based unit in RT 07 RW 03, saw 26 depositors enthusiastically bring sorted inorganic waste from their homes. Thanks to the efficiency of eight waste bank staff, the weighing, recording, and sorting process proceeded in an orderly and smooth manner. The Gegersuni Waste Bank programme goes beyond mere environmental cleanliness; it is part of a broader movement for economic and spiritual strengthening of residents. In addition to saving waste that can be converted into rupiah balances, residents are encouraged to view waste management from a different perspective. The programme also features an innovative scheme allowing residents to convert their waste savings into gold bullion, providing a sense of financial security and a tangible family investment for the future. The management expressed hope that this achievement would motivate more residents to join the initiative, proving that sorted household waste can drive significant change for a cleaner environment and a more empowered village.
