Gegana Bomb Squad Sweeps Explosion Site in San Antonio, Surabaya

Personnel from the Gegana Satbrimob East Java Regional Police swept the site of an explosion at San Antonio Shopping Street, Pakuwon City, Surabaya, East Java, on Tuesday (6/10/2026).

The explosion, which occurred earlier that morning, originated from a restaurant and is suspected to have been caused by a leak in a 50kg LPG cylinder. The incident resulted in five injuries and caused damage to 41 surrounding buildings.

Debris was scattered across the site of the explosion at San Antonio Shopping Street, Pakuworn City, Surabaya. The blast, suspected to stem from an LPG gas leak in a local eatery, has left five people wounded and caused structural damage to 41 units in the vicinity.
