Geely Galaxy Names Its First AI-Equipped Off-Road SUV as Zhanjian 700

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Geely Galaxy, a sub-brand of Geely, has officially announced the name of its first off-road SUV equipped with AI capabilities as Zhanjian 700. Translated into English, Zhanjian 700 refers to “Battleship” or warship, and the introduction of this vehicle marks an important step in Geely Galaxy’s efforts to develop intelligent off-road vehicles. Reported by Gasgoo on Friday (20/3) local time, the name came from a global campaign involving 50,000 participants. The model is expected to make its public debut at the upcoming China Auto 2026 event. Based on leaked images that have circulated, the SUV adopts a design described as mimicking water ripple aesthetics, translating distinctive Chinese visual elements into a rugged off-road vehicle form. Overall, these elements emphasise a sturdy posture and strong visual identity. Built on a body-on-frame architecture, the vehicle underscores its credibility as an off-road machine. At the rear, there is a spare tyre mounted externally, and vertically arranged rear lights that reinforce its off-road positioning. For the interior, the SUV blends functionality without sacrificing its rugged image by retaining a traditional gear lever. The SUV will also offer an AI-controlled four-wheel drive system, along with advanced capabilities including crab-walking, tank turns, continued travel after a tyre puncture, and automatic obstacle avoidance. Further emphasising its ambitions in off-road terrain, the vehicle is claimed to be capable of fording water up to 800 mm deep and supports satellite communication—features that position it as a technologically advanced competitor in the rugged SUV segment in the Chinese market.
