Geely EX2 Pro Features: Simple, Yet Functional
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Geely EX2 Pro is indeed the entry-level variant in the EX2 line-up in Indonesia. However, after being used for a few days in urban areas, the features it offers still feel adequate to support daily mobility.
The EX2 Pro is not a car that offers complete semi-autonomous technology or abundant features like the highest variant.
However, for daily use in a major city, most of its main features are still relevant and easy to use.
At the beginning of use, some adaptation is needed due to the minimal number of physical buttons. However, after getting used to it, navigating the menus is quite easy with a touch response that is relatively fast.
Interestingly, Geely also provides several driving modes that can be adjusted to suit needs. There are Eco, Comfort, and Sport modes.
During use in urban areas, Comfort mode feels most suitable for daily use because its acceleration character is smoother and easier to control when facing heavy traffic.
Meanwhile, Sport mode makes the pedal response feel more aggressive, suitable for use when rapid acceleration is needed when overtaking or entering a highway.
Geely also provides regenerative braking settings with low, medium, and high levels. Drivers can adjust the deceleration character according to their driving preferences.
For entertainment needs, the EX2 Pro already supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Unfortunately, the connectivity still uses a cable and is not wireless like some rivals.
Behind the steering wheel, there is an 8.8-inch digital instrument panel with a simple and easy-to-read layout. Important information such as speed, battery capacity, and estimated range is displayed clearly.
Interestingly, even though it is an entry-level variant, the EX2 Pro is still equipped with several basic active safety features. This car already has pre-collision assist which includes rear collision warning, rear cross traffic alert, and lane change safety warning.
These features are quite beneficial, especially when driving in heavy traffic conditions or when reversing out of a narrow parking area.
However, the EX2 Pro is not yet equipped with complete ADAS features such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Detection, or Lane Keeping Assist.
