Geely Confirms Bringing Latest Hybrid Technology to Indonesia

BEIJING - Geely has officially launched its latest generation hybrid technology, which offers numerous advantages, including thermal efficiency of up to 48.41%. The company even claims fuel consumption of just 2.22 litres per 100 km. Constantinus Herlijoso, Sales & Channel Development at Geely Auto Indonesia, stated that the latest hybrid technology is being introduced to provide maximum fuel efficiency. In the future, it will be fitted to models sold in Indonesia. “In principle, all technologies developed by Geely will be applied to all Geely models that use hybrid engines, which are now already used in the Starray, though that might be a previous generation,” said Herlijoso in Beijing, China, recently. “Because we are still studying which models will be introduced in Indonesia, so just wait,” Herlijoso added. In terms of performance, the i-HEV system can produce motor power of up to 230 kW, or 1.72 times greater than other hybrid systems. The vehicle can travel in pure electric mode up to 66 km/h, providing faster acceleration, low vibration, and smooth driving comfort, making it the world’s strongest electric-feeling hybrid system. This strategy not only aims to maintain sales dominance for a decade in China but also to challenge the top position in the global vehicle market overall.
