Jakarta – The management of the Gelora Bung Karno sports complex (PPKGBK) recorded a revenue of Rp812 billion throughout 2025. This achievement is a commitment to strengthening the optimisation of state asset utilisation.
The President Director of PPKGBK, Rakhmadi A. Kusumo, said that this revenue is the highest in the 63 years of managing the GBK area and also marks a new history for the management of these state assets.
“After recording a revenue of Rp566 billion in 2024, GBK recorded a revenue of Rp812 billion in 2025 based on audited financial reports,” said Rakhmadi in a statement in Jakarta, Sunday, May 17, 2026.
He explained that this achievement is also the result of joint efforts from all levels, government support, partners, users of the area and the community. This performance further strengthens the momentum for optimising state assets, including through the arrangement of Block 15, which is expected to provide added economic value and greater benefits for the country and society.
“This achievement is an encouragement for us to continue maintaining our mandate to manage the GBK area professionally, orderly and provide real benefits for the country and the public,” said Rakhmadi.
The Director of Finance at PPKGBK, Hendry Arisandi, added that GBK’s revenue in 2025 shows a significant increase compared to the post-COVID-19 period. “In 2022, GBK’s revenue was recorded at Rp255 billion. This means that revenue in 2025 has increased almost fourfold in just three years,” said Hendry.
Throughout 2025, the GBK area continues to be used for various sports activities, culture, MICE (meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions), recreation, commercial activities, as well as national and international scale public agendas.
PPKGBK hopes that this positive performance can be further strengthened through the arrangement and optimisation of Block 15. PPKGBK views the arrangement of Block 15 as an important part of the agenda to optimise state assets in the GBK area.
The process is expected to strengthen the function of the GBK area as a centre for sports, public space, national activities, MICE, recreation, and healthy and measurable economic activities.
In its implementation, PPKGBK coordinates with the Ministry of State Secretariat, the Ministry of Finance, local governments, law enforcement agencies, the Police, the TNI (Indonesian National Armed Forces) and other related elements. This coordination is carried out so that all processes related to Block 15 run in an orderly, safe, measurable manner and in accordance with applicable legal provisions. (Ant)
