The Gelora Bung Karno Complex Management (PPKGBK) has achieved a new milestone in the management of state assets. Under the leadership of President Director Rakhmadi A. Kusumo, GBK has secured its highest revenue in its 63-year history, reaching Rp812 billion in the 2025 fiscal year. This represents a significant surge compared to 2024, which recorded Rp566 billion. According to audited financial reports, this financial performance serves as tangible evidence of the success of professional and transparent state asset optimisation strategies.

PPKGBK Finance Director, Hendry Arisandi, revealed that GBK’s revenue growth trend has shown a very positive trajectory since the end of the COVID-1s pandemic. “In 2022, GBK’s revenue was recorded at Rp255 billion. This means that the 2025 revenue has increased almost fourfold in just three years,” Hendry stated in an official briefing on Tuesday.

This success has been driven by the increasingly massive utilisation of the GBK area across various sectors, ranging from sports and cultural activities to Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions (MICE), as well as international-scale public agendas. Following this positive performance, PPKGBK is now focusing its strategic agenda on the arrangement and optimisation of Block 15. This step is considered crucial to strengthen the area’s function as both a sports centre and a public space that provides economic added value to the state.

PPKGBK President Director, Rakhmadi A. Kusumo, emphasised that the Rp812 billion achievement is the result of collective hard work and support from various partners and the community. He committed to continuing the mandate of managing the area in accordance with the law. “This achievement serves as an incentive for us to continue managing the GBK area professionally and to provide real benefits to the state and the public. Moving forward, the redevelopment of Block 15 is expected to strengthen GBK’s function as a centre for healthy and measurable economic activity,” said Rakhmadi.
