Gaza begins waste clearance project, paving the way for economic recovery

The Gaza City government on Wednesday (11/2) began removing approximately 350,000 cubic metres of waste that had accumulated in the Firas Market area, central Gaza City, in order to reduce environmental pressure and restore business activity. The project involves transferring waste from temporary dumping sites at Firas Market to designated alternative locations in the southern part of the city.
