Gaspol Today: Dasco-Teddy Ask Hasan Nasbi to Return, What's Up with Palace Communication?

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Special Presidential Advisor for Communications Hasan Nasbi has returned to President Prabowo Subianto’s Cabinet Merah Putih after being dismissed from the position of Head of the Presidential Communications Office (PCO). Hasan revealed that he was contacted by Gerindra Party’s Daily Chairman Sufmi Dasco Ahmad and the Cabinet Secretary to meet again at the Palace. “Bang Dasco said, Mr Teddy said, Brother, come back, formally help the government,” said Hasan in the Gaspol! podcast aired on Kompas.com’s YouTube channel on Monday (11/5/2026). According to Hasan, as Special Presidential Advisor for Communications, he is tasked with strengthening government communication, collaborating with the Government Communications Agency (Bakom) as well as the Ministry of Communications and Digital (Komdigi). He stated that the government only needs channels to convey information and to correct misleading information. “Mr Prabowo has always been like that, no need to make it up. Mr Prabowo is just as he is,” he said. Hasan also addressed the frequent public criticisms aired on social media. He revealed that Prabowo listens to criticisms and input from the public. In fact, he said, after midnight, Prabowo watches podcasts or social media to find out what the public is discussing regarding the government and the president.
