10 MILLION TELEVISIONS: Employees at work on the production line
of PT Toshiba Consumer Products Indonesia in the Cikarang
Industrial Estate in Bekasi, West Java. The company plans to
build a new plant costing US$5 million to increase its television
production to 2.2 million units per year and its liquid crystal
display and plasma TV production to 200,000 units annually.
Toshiba celebrated the production of its 10th million TV at its
plant on Wednesday, which was also attended by Ministry of
Industry Andung A. Nitimihardja.
