Garut Regency Government Ensures Distribution of Fuel and LPG in Line with Regulations
The Garut Regency Government guarantees the distribution of fuel oil and LPG in accordance with regulations to maintain energy availability stability for the community. The local government, together with the National Association of Oil and Gas Entrepreneurs (Hiswana Migas), is committed to upholding integrity and compliance with applicable regulations.
Garut Regent Abdusy Syakur Amin stated that the local government guarantees and ensures the distribution of LPG and fuel oil (BBM) in its territory reaches the community in line with provisions. However, the presence of Pertamina representatives and business players in the gas and fuel oil industry is crucial in maintaining energy availability stability for the community.
“Alhamdulillah, we agree to establish more intensive communication among the government, business actors, and the community. Because there are more interesting challenges ahead that require us to respond from the start and anticipate them early,” he said on Sunday (29/3/2026).
According to him, the presence of these important elements reaffirms the joint commitment to maintaining energy availability stability, especially for the community. However, this forum is not merely a social gathering but a discussion space to ensure the distribution of LPG and BBM to the community in accordance with regulations.
“The presence of Pertamina representatives and business players in the gas and fuel oil (BBM) industry in Garut Regency is important in maintaining energy availability stability for residents. However, we must respond from the beginning and anticipate early,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Garut Regency Chapter of the National Association of Oil and Gas Entrepreneurs (Hiswana Migas), Ida Hidayatulloh, stated that this strategic forum to discuss the distribution of LPG gas and BBM serves as real evidence of synergy and joint commitment in maintaining energy stability in the region we love. However, energy distribution is a very vital aspect, especially for community life and regional economic continuity.
“We emphasise that SPBU entrepreneurs and LPG agents are the frontline of energy services and invite all members to maintain integrity in compliance with applicable regulations.
We are required to always uphold integrity, professionalism, and compliance with applicable regulations, and we hope that through togetherness, more open, harmonious, and productive communication can be created in ensuring precise and fair distribution for the community,” he explained.
Meanwhile, Pertamina representative Jamal Bachtiar revealed that the Eid Task Force (Satgas) period, running from H-14 to H+14, will end on 1 April 2026. Overall, energy distribution in Garut Regency during the homecoming and return period ran smoothly.
“Alhamdulillah, distribution in Garut Regency ran smoothly with sufficient BBM and LPG stocks. Pertamina is open to coordination and collaboration in supporting government programmes, especially,” he concluded.
Through the RTC system, energy distribution activities are monitored digitally to ensure tanker truck operations run according to safety and security standards of the company.
309 SPBUs located on potential routes operate 24 hours. As many as 59 mobile storage units are prepared as pocket SPBUs/reserve fuel supplies.
Komaidi added that with a simpler process, all matters related to the procurement or distribution of BBM and LPG can be fulfilled more quickly.
The Director of the Centre for Public Policy and Development Studies (Puskeppi), Sofyano Zakaria, appreciated Pertamina’s steps in handling energy supply disruptions in disaster-affected areas.
