The Class II Non-TPI Garut Immigration Office is providing a streamlined service through its Same Day Service Passport programme, a one-day processing service for passport applicants accessible via an application or by visiting the office directly in Garut Regency, West Java. “For the Same Day Service Passport, applicants can submit a request through the M Paspor app or come directly to the Garut Immigration Office,” said Robby Soedarsono, Head of the Class II Non-Immigration Checkpoint (TPI) Garut Immigration Office, on Thursday. He explained that the Garut Immigration Office can only provide this service before 10:00 WIB, with an additional Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) fee of Rp1 million, on top of the standard passport fees of Rp650,000 for a 5-year electronic passport and Rp950,000 for a 10-year one. “For urgent matters, applicants can come directly to the Garut Immigration Office bringing supporting documents that explain the emergency situation,” he said. He noted that the Garut Immigration Office currently serves a quota of five Same Day Service Passport applicants per day through the M Paspor app, and a quota of five applicants for walk-ins. “The Same Day Service Passport is completed on the same day with a PNBP fee of Rp1 million,” he stated. The Regent reviewed the services at the Garut Immigration Office in person while renewing his own passport through the priority Same Day Service programme. “For those planning to travel abroad, just come to the Garut Immigration Office because the service is very fast, friendly, and transparent; hopefully it can help our residents,” he said.
