Garuda's passengers up 11%
JAKARTA (JP): The number of passengers flying with Garuda
Indonesia in the January to November period of last year was 4.58
million, rising by almost 11 percent from 4.14 million in the
same period of 1994.
State-owned Garuda said in a statement here Saturday that
around 75 percent of the passengers during the January-November
period used domestic flights with the remaining 25 percent flying
on international routes.
The growth rates of the passengers using Garuda's domestic and
international flights, respectively, reached 11 percent and 7
percent during the period.
The airline said that it would further improve its ticketing
system to accommodate the anticipated growth in the number of
passengers this year. (hen)
