I was supposed to board Garuda flight GA 443 for Jakarta at
18.30 on Sunday Jan. 28 in Yogyakarta. I wanted to make use of
the city check-in facility as promoted by the airline company.

On the morning of the same day I went to the Garuda office on
Jl. Mangkubumi to check in. There, I was told that I could only
check in at the city check-in facility one day prior to
departure.

To my knowledge a city check-in can be done 6 to 24 hours
before an airplane's departure. When I inquired about this
regulation, I was told in a laconic manner that it was only
applicable in Jakarta.

I would like to ask the Garuda central management board
whether the city check-in rules do indeed differ from city to
city.
