Garuda to hold painting event

JAKARTA (JP): The Indonesian flag carrier Garuda Indonesia
will hold a painting competition for children at its maintenance
facility at Soekarno-Hatta airport on Jan. 29.

According to the firm's public relations section, the
competition will be held in conjunction with the commemoration of
the 45th anniversary of the company and the 50 anniversary of the
Republic of Indonesia.

The competition, free of charge, is intended mainly for
kindergarten and elementary school students. The number of
participants will be limited to 500.

The committee will furnish a number of prizes, including a
Jakarta-Hong Kong-Jakarta ticket for first prize, a Jakarta-
Singapore-Jakarta ticket for second place and a Jakarta-Denpasar-
Jakarta ticket for the third. (hhr)
