Garuda promotes RI tourism
JAKARTA (JP): One-hundred-and-fifty Australian travel agents have arrived here at the invitation of national airline Garuda Indonesia and its subsidiary PT Garuda Orient Holiday, as part of Garuda's plan to promote the archipelago.
Radisson Hotel manager Linda Muhlis said yesterday her hotel would put on a cultural introductory show today for the Australians.
She said they would be divided into 10 groups to visit mount Bromo in East Java, Yogyakarta and Surakarta (Solo) in Central Java, Minangkabau in West Sumatra, Manado in North Sulawesi, Samosir island in North Sumatra, Bali, Lombok and other tourist destinations.
Indonesia wants to introduce its diversified culture to the Australians who will hopefully promote it in the kangaroo continent, she said. (icn)
