Jakarta — PT Garuda Daya Pratama Sejahtera (GDPS), a subsidiary of Garuda Indonesia Group, is beginning to expand its business operations into international markets through the deployment of Indonesian professional personnel to aviation industry projects abroad.

This step forms part of the company’s strategy to strengthen high-competency-based services whilst expanding cross-border collaboration in 2026.

GDPS Chief Executive Officer Cornelis Radjawane stated that the involvement of Indonesian professionals in international projects serves as evidence of the capability of Indonesia’s human resources to compete in the global aviation industry.

“The deployment of professional personnel in this MRO project in Saudi Arabia demonstrates that Indonesian human resources possess the quality, competence and integrity capable of competing in the global aviation industry,” said Cornelis Radjawane in a statement on Wednesday (11 March 2026).

“For GDPS, this is also a strategic step in strengthening the company’s position as a provider of professional personnel with specialist expertise,” he added.

The professionals will serve as Cabin Technicians in an aircraft maintenance project executed by Regent Aerospace Corporation at a Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility in Saudi Arabia.

The involvement of Indonesian professionals in this project marks a significant milestone for GDPS in expanding its global presence.

The participation also demonstrates that Indonesian workers possess the competence to meet international aviation industry standards.

Cornelis added that international market development is being pursued systematically through project collaboration and cross-border partnerships.

This strategy aligns with GDPS’s transformation as a technology-based business process outsourcing (BPO) service provider that is adaptive to global industry dynamics.

Several countries that are targeted for future cooperation include South Korea, India and Singapore.

Going forward, GDPS is committed to continuing the expansion of international collaboration opportunities through the provision of high-competency professional personnel across various industrial sectors.

The company hopes this initiative will not only strengthen GDPS’s position in the global market but also create broader opportunities for Indonesian talent to contribute to strategic projects at the international level.
