JAKARTA – Chairman of Gerakan Dapur Indonesia (Garuda Indonesia), Nofalia Heikal Safar, has received support from comedians to campaign for the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme. Among the comedians involved are Opie Kumis, Azis Gagap, Madid, Mastur, Yadi Sembako, Caisar YKS, and Udin Ojol. Nofalia explained that the activity aims to consolidate and develop Gerakan Dapur Indonesia’s operations across the country. She expressed her intention to involve all MBG kitchen owners, hotels, restaurants, eateries, and even household kitchens to contribute to supporting the programme. “I am committed, together with all MBG kitchen owners throughout Indonesia, to ensure the success of all kitchen owners in becoming quality cooking businesses capable of enhancing Indonesia’s economic wheels,” she stated in Jakarta on Friday (8/5/2026). According to her, the event named Gerakan Dapur Indonesia is one way to ensure that all kitchen owners fully support the government’s programme in implementing MBG. Moreover, Nofalia noted, the programme initiated by Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto aims to provide nutritious meals to all school students. “This is to enhance the quality of Indonesia’s human resources (HR) through nutritional fulfilment, particularly to reduce stunting rates and malnutrition among children, pregnant women, and nursing mothers,” said Nofalia.
