Airlines Garuda Indonesia and Citilink have transported 77,000 people to various routes during the peak of the Lebaran homecoming flow on Wednesday, 18 March 2026. Corporate Communications Division Head of PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, Dicky Irchamsyah, stated that the figure includes the operation of 25 additional flights by Garuda Indonesia and 26 additional flights by Citilink.

“Garuda Indonesia served 34,000 passengers through 227 flights, while Citilink transported 43,000 passengers through 276 flights,” Dicky said in a written statement on Wednesday, 18 March 2026.

Specifically for departures from Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Garuda Indonesia has transported 18,000 passengers through 108 flights. Meanwhile, Citilink has transported 16,000 passengers through 92 flights.

At Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Dicky said, the Garuda Indonesia Group also prepared a minimum of 30 check-in counters to ensure the departure process runs more smoothly. Various operational aspects such as fleet readiness, additional flights, and strengthened services will provide a comfortable travel experience for passengers.

Dicky stated that Garuda Indonesia recorded an On-Time Performance (OTP) for first departure at Soekarno-Hatta Airport reaching 98 percent. “Meanwhile, Citilink also recorded an average OTP for first departure at Soekarno-Hatta Airport of 100 percent,” he said.

During the peak homecoming flow, the domestic routes with the highest traffic served by the Garuda Indonesia Group include Jakarta–Denpasar, Jakarta–Medan, Jakarta–Makassar, Jakarta–Surabaya, as well as other routes such as Manado-Jakarta, Jakarta–Balikpapan, and Jakarta–Yogyakarta. Meanwhile, for international routes with the highest traffic, they include Jakarta–Incheon, Jakarta–Haneda, Jakarta–Jeddah, and Jakarta–Singapore.

“The Garuda Indonesia Group also projects that the peak Lebaran return flow in 2026 will occur on 24 March 2026,” Dicky said.
