Jakarta – National airline Garuda Indonesia has reaffirmed its commitment to continuously strengthen service access for consumers and users through the development of Garuda Indonesia Sales Offices (GASO) at various locations.

One such office has recently been inaugurated by Garuda Indonesia Chief Executive Officer Glenny Kairupan, located in the BUMN Regulatory Board (BP BUMN) building area, in the Medan Merdeka Selatan district, Central Jakarta.

“The presence of this sales office represents the company’s sustained commitment to expanding our network of ‘one-stop service’ that is increasingly accessible to the public,” said Glenny in a statement on Wednesday, 11 March 2026.

GASO is Garuda Indonesia’s official sales office that provides direct face-to-face services to customers and business partners. Services include ticket purchases and modifications, GarudaMiles registration, group ticket bookings, and various other travel requirements.

Glenny noted that the inauguration of GASO at the BUMN building holds deeper significance, as the location is part of Garuda Indonesia’s historical journey.

He stressed that the opening of this sales office represents Garuda Indonesia’s commitment to continuing to provide increasingly accessible services to the public.

“Through this face-to-face service, we hope to provide a more personal service experience whilst meeting various travel needs of our users directly,” said Glenny.

Furthermore, Glenny added that Garuda Indonesia’s presence at the BUMN building also carries historical significance for the company. The building previously served as Garuda Indonesia’s headquarters from 1987, witnessing the national carrier’s journey for more than two decades in serving Indonesia’s mobility needs. In 2007, Garuda Indonesia then centralised its operations at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.

“Garuda Indonesia’s return to this building through this sales office carries strong symbolic meaning, whilst serving as a reminder of Garuda Indonesia’s long journey in connecting Indonesia with the world and representing the spirit of inter-BUMN collaboration in serving the public,” he said.

Meanwhile, BP BUMN Vice Chief Tedi Bharata stated that the presence of Garuda Indonesia Sales Office will help meet aircraft ticket service needs. With its strategic location, this will certainly provide ease of access for service users.
