Garuda cuts baggage rates

JAKARTA (JP): Garuda Indonesia, the national flag carrier, has
reduced its excess baggage tariffs by about 30 percent per
kilogram for all its domestic routes.

A spokesman for the airline said in a statement here yesterday
that it has also increased the maximum weight of free baggage for
all of its domestic flights to 40 kilograms for first-class and
business-class passengers and 30 kilograms for the economy-class
passengers.(hdj)
