Garuda builds new executive lounge

JAKARTA: National flag carrier Garuda Indonesia commenced on Tuesday the construction of an executive lounge at the Soekarno- Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, Banten.

Situated on a 1,419 square meter area of land, the new facility will be opened in September, a media statement said on Tuesday.

It will be the largest executive lounge in the country.

Customers traveling on Garuda's business class, members of the Garuda Frequent Flyer (GGF) club and selected users of credit card services, will be able to use the facility, the statement added.

The lounge will have a business center with a meeting room, advanced telecommunications and IT services, a rest area with showers and a nursery, among other features. -- JP
