Following a demonstration in front of their company office on Monday (30/3), a group of workers from CV Evergreen Buana Prima Sandang in Kalasan, Sleman, continued their action at the DIY Governor’s Office in the Kepatihan Complex today. They are still raising the same demands. Observations by detikJogja showed that the group of workers arriving by motorbike reached the Kepatihan Complex around 10:30 WIB. The workers’ group was then allowed entry for an audience with the DIY regional government. The workers are still demanding the payment of wages that have not been disbursed for three months. The audience took place in the Pendopo Wiyata Praja at the Kepatihan Complex. The workers’ group was received by representatives of the DIY regional government along with the Head of the Manpower and Transmigration Office (Disnakertrans) of DIY, Ariyanto Wibowo. “A simple question to this state representative, when will this be paid? Everything has its deadline,” said one of the worker representatives, Azis, during the audience at the Kepatihan Complex on Tuesday (31/3/2025). Meanwhile, the Coordinator of MPBI DIY, Irsyad Ade Irawan, stated that the workers in this audience are urging the DIY regional government to intervene in resolving the wage arrears issue at CV Evergreen Buana Prima Sandang. He also requested that the DIY regional government provide assistance to the unpaid workers. The amount is adjusted to the value of the free nutritious meal (MBG) programme, namely Rp10,000 per day. “We are urging that this be realised immediately, for example using special funds. There should indeed be wage subsidy assistance for victims of the economic disaster at CV Evergreen equivalent to MBG, Rp10,000 per day,” explained Irsyad. In response to the demand for this subsidy assistance, the Head of Disnakertrans DIY, Ariyanto Wibowo, said that his side has received and accommodated the workers’ aspirations. “We will note it down, we will convey it to the leadership and related offices, because this is about policy matters,” said Bowo. Meanwhile, regarding the handling of the wage arrears issue, Bowo said that his side has collaborated with relevant parties to conduct an investigation into CV Evergreen. “What needs to be understood is that in resolving the problem, it is the comfort of everyone. We resolve the problem through the existing stages,” he stated.
