Jakarta (ANTARA) - The extended family of Garda Satya NKRI has declared its readiness to continue providing the best service to the community, nation, and state through the spirit of ‘Satya Haprabu’.

This spirit was highlighted during the 81st Indonesian Independence Day celebration and a gathering between the Chief of the Indonesian National Police (Kapolri) and Garda Satya NKRI, themed ‘Building Indonesia Together with the Ummah’ in Solo, Central Java, on Sunday.

According to a statement from the Indonesian National Police Public Relations Division received in Jakarta, the ‘Satya Haprabu’ spirit reflects the determination of Garda Satya NKRI to maintain national commitment and direct its dedication towards various activities that provide tangible benefits to the public.

During the event, Chief of Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo emphasised that every citizen has the space and opportunity to play a role in building Indonesia’s future.

“We have a shared home called the NKRI, with doors that are always open for every child of the nation to play a part and struggle to realign our steps and build the nation’s future,” said the Chief of Police.

According to him, commitment to the NKRI must be realised through various positive contributions, ranging from maintaining public order and security (kamtibmas) and nurturing unity to supporting social, humanitarian, and community empowerment activities.

Garda Satya NKRI is also encouraged to continue developing its role through various productive activities, including the strengthening of family economies, food security, entrepreneurship, and community social activities.

The Chief of Police expressed his hope that the spirit and cohesion of the Garda Satya NKRI extended family could become a positive force that provides increasingly widespread benefits to society.

This commitment aligns with the theme ‘Building Indonesia Together with the Ummah’, which asserts that national development requires togetherness and the participation of all elements of society.

The Chief of Police also emphasised that the Indonesian National Police will continue to maintain togetherness and accompany the Garda Satya NKRI extended family in every positive step forward.

“Because for me, the brotherhood we have built is not a temporary brotherhood, but ‘saduluran saklawase’—a brotherhood that we constantly maintain in providing service to the community, nation, and state,” he said.

With the ‘Satya Haprabu’ spirit, Garda Satya NKRI is expected to continue strengthening its national commitment and deliver real service to the community, while simultaneously helping to maintain the unity and integrity of the NKRI.

Garda Satya NKRI serves as a forum for former members and sympathisers of Jamaah Islamiyah (JI) who have reaffirmed their national commitment, declared their oath of loyalty to the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI), and committed to taking a positive role as part of the front line in maintaining public order and the integrity of the NKRI under the coordination of the Indonesian National Police.
