Garbage Emergency and Economic Stability in Bandung City Come Under Spotlight

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG – The Bandung City DPD of PKS has spotlighted two crucial problems still occurring in Bandung City: the waste crisis or emergency and economic stability. They expressed that religious values are needed in the development process in Bandung City.

Bandung City DPD PKS Chairman Agus Andi Setyawan emphasised religious values in the development process in Bandung City. He likened the spirit of development to the happiness in fasting.

“Besides the two happinesses for those who fast, we want to bring the third happiness, namely happiness in community life through togetherness and the development of Bandung City,” he said recently during an FGD with Bandung City Mayor M Farhan as well as the 24th PKS anniversary.

He continued that food and environmental resilience as well as the economy need to be strengthened through UMKM empowerment, as well as strengthening family empowerment economy. His side affirmed commitment to continue supporting the Bandung City Government with a collaborative approach.

However, constructive criticism will still be conveyed as part of the supervisory function. “The goal is clear, for improvement and public welfare through strong and data-based policies,” he said.
