Gapempi Prepares Four Programme Pillars to Strengthen National Economy
The Chairwoman of the National Leadership Council of the Indonesian Red and White Entrepreneurs Association (DPN Gapempi), Minarni Panggabean, has expressed the full commitment of national entrepreneurs to supporting the government’s Asta Cita agenda and the Indonesia Emas 2045 vision. Gapempi, she said, interprets the Independence Day theme of ‘A Sovereign, Just, and Prosperous Indonesia’ through strengthening the people’s economy and cross-sector collaboration.
Minarni Panggabean stressed that the national business community has a moral and strategic responsibility to translate the values of sovereignty and social justice into the pulse of the nation’s economy. Under the leadership of President Prabowo Subianto, she continued, Gapempi has declared its full readiness to stand at the forefront of making pro-people programmes and Asta Cita a success.
‘The sovereignty of this nation will not be strong without economic sovereignty. Just and prosperous means how business actors from micro to large scale can grow together in a climate of collaboration, not mutually destructive competition,’ Minarni asserted in her statement on Monday (17/8).
Minarni added that DPN Gapempi is fully committed to overseeing and implementing the government’s economic policies under the leadership of President Prabowo Subianto in order to achieve the Indonesia Emas 2045 vision. As a concrete contribution to filling independence and supporting the acceleration of the national economy, DPN Gapempi has mapped out four priority work programme pillars aligned with the government’s policy direction.
The first is the digitalisation of MSMEs and cooperatives. Through relevant committees, Gapempi is strengthening business mentoring, inclusive financing access, and the adoption of digital technology for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) so that they are competitive in both domestic and global markets.
The second is strengthening the Pancasila economy and the sharing economy. Gapempi seeks to optimise the spirit of mutual cooperation and kinship across business scales through strategic partnership patterns between large and small entrepreneurs (foster parent-foster child), in order to reduce social inequality and realise economic justice.
The third is increasing labour productivity and welfare. This pillar will make workers the main backbone of national industry by encouraging tripartite synergy (government, employers, and workers) to create a harmonious, decent, and productive working climate.
The fourth is downstreaming and the development of the green and creative economy. Gapempi fully supports the downstreaming policy for national commodities as well as the sustainable energy transition through optimising the potential of local natural resources that are environmentally sound and have high added value.
DPN Gapempi also, Minarni said, invites all stakeholders, including government agencies, business associations, and the wider community, to work together to strengthen national economic resilience.
‘With the spirit of the Red and White, a sovereign, just, and prosperous Indonesia on the fast track to Indonesia Emas 2045 is no longer a preparation but a reality that can be achieved together,’ Minarni said.
