Gapembi Jabar optimistic BGN will be more transparent under Sudaryono

Bandung (ANTARA) - The West Java chapter of the Indonesian Nutritious Meal Entrepreneurs Association (Gapembi) is optimistic that the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) will operate more transparently and professionally under the leadership of BGN Head Sudaryono.

Heri Ukasah, Chair of the Gapembi West Java provincial board, said the change of leadership at BGN was good news for partners of the nutritious meal programme, as it opened new hope for improvements in governance and institutional communication.

“We are very optimistic that under Sudaryono’s leadership, BGN will run better, optimally, professionally, and transparently, in line with the President’s expectations,” Heri said in Bandung on Sunday.

According to him, Sudaryono’s experience in government and organisational matters is important capital for running BGN’s programmes going forward.

He said that after discussions among its board members, the Gapembi West Java provincial board declared its full support for Sudaryono’s leadership as Head of BGN.

The association stands ready to safeguard and support all programmes run by BGN, particularly those related to partnerships, programme governance, and the resolution of various issues faced by partners in the field.

“We will continue to support policies aimed at ensuring the success of the National Nutrition Agency’s programmes,” he said.

Regarding aspirations conveyed by a number of regions, Heri explained that most concerned communication between partners and BGN, which had stalled during the previous period.

Nevertheless, he sees positive changes since the leadership was handed over to BGN Head Sudaryono.

“Within the first two days of his leadership, a number of associations have been received for direct dialogue with BGN,” he said.
