Police secured two individuals in Cileungsi District, Bogor, West Java. Both were apprehended for involvement in a gangster convoy that disrupted other road users.

“The convoy action, allegedly carried out by a gangster group, caused public unrest and disrupted traffic order, resulting in traffic congestion,” said Cileungsi Police Chief Kompol Edison on Saturday, 14 March 2026.

The incident occurred on Friday afternoon and evening, 13 March. The group conducting the convoy also harassed the public by setting off firecrackers.

“In addition to conducting the convoy on the main road, the group also set off firecrackers, which further troubled road users and nearby residents,” he said.

Police immediately proceeded to the location to take action. As a result, two youths involved in the convoy were quickly apprehended.

“In the operation, officers successfully apprehended two youths allegedly involved in the disruptive act,” he said.

The two were then brought to the police station for counselling. The parents of both youths were also called in for guidance to ensure better supervision.

“Local residents reported feeling uneasy because the group frequently gathered at the location almost every day and caused noise,” he concluded.
