Gandhi Sehat's Management Responds After Pulling Album 'My Dream (I Don't Want to Be a Police Officer)'

The management of child singer Gandhi Sehat has decided to remove the album titled ‘My Dream (I Don’t Want to Be a Police Officer)’ from various music streaming platforms. This step was taken independently to minimise the potential for misinterpretation among the public without any pressure from outside parties.

detikJogja had requested an interview with Gandhi Sehat’s management to ask about the reason for withdrawing the song. However, the Gandhi Sehat admin team requested that we quote the official statement that had already been made.

“You can quote from what we have already posted. Please do not display the album cover or video that we have taken down. Thank you for your help,” said the Gandhi Sehat admin team when contacted by detikJogja via Instagram message on Wednesday (25/2/2026).

In a statement on the Instagram account @gandhi_sehat, the management said that the album was created from the beginning as a work of art based on the story from the perspective of a 6-year-old child. Currently, the song has been removed from all content on Gandhi Sehat’s official account.

“However, after seeing the dynamics and various interpretations that have developed in the public sphere, we decided to stop its distribution. We have now removed all content and songs related to it from our accounts and official channels,” the statement said.

The management said that this decision was taken without coercion from any party. They also want to avoid misunderstandings due to the emergence of this song. In addition, the management also stated that any form of re-distribution of content or songs that are still circulating outside the official channels is no longer their responsibility.

For information, Gandhi Sehat’s management released a song titled ‘My Dream (I Don’t Want to Be a Police Officer)’ in early February on digital music streaming platforms (DSPs). A week later, the management decided to withdraw the song from circulation.
