'Gamelan' and jazz at Arts Center

JAKARTA (JP): French and Indonesian musicians will perform
together today, Feb. 28 at the Taman Ismail Marzuki Art Center
(TIM) in Central Jakarta.

Saxophonist Andre Jeume and Sapto Rahardjo will present
contemporary arrangements of gamelan and jazz.

They have just finished their recording of a fusion of western
and eastern music, which is available on CD in Indonesia, Europe
and the United States.

Tickets for the event, held by TIM in cooperation with the
French Cultural Center, are Rp 5,000. The one-day show starts at
