One of the senior officials of PT KAI, the Indonesian railway
company has said that the company's best service would be given
to train passengers, not limited only to those traveling. This
means PT KAI's services should include, among other things, its
information service via the telephone.

In reality, each time I contact Gambir station on telephone
number 34832227, nobody picks it up. Some relatives and friends
of mine have experienced a similar problem.

An officer of the state telecommunications company Telkom has
confirmed that the number is still active. He is also annoyed
about it as other Telkom employees assigned to the 108
information service have become the object of anger by people
having difficulty in contacting Gambir railway station.

How could this happen? PT KAI has apparently not kept its
promise of good service, has it?
