Jakarta (ANTARA) - Workers at Gambir Station have praised the Free Health Check (CKG) service for helping them maintain their health during the Eid exodus and Lebaran holiday season.

An online taxi driver, Reinhard, said that the CKG helped him ensure his health remained in good condition, especially since his job of driving requires optimal fitness.

After the check-up, he stated that his health was still good. He also routinely undergoes monthly health examinations and participates in the Chronic Disease Management Programme (Prolanis) from BPJS Kesehatan.

Based on Antara’s observations, several workers around Gambir Station, such as porters and restaurant employees, also took part in the CKG.

Dr Stefano Geraldi from Sawah Besar Community Health Centre said that participants in the CKG at Gambir Station are mostly adults and elderly people aged 50-60 years. The most common health issue found is high blood pressure.

“We have brought supplies in case someone has never been checked before; we have high blood pressure medication,” he said.

He mentioned that since it was provided on 18 March 2026, an average of about 20 people come daily for health checks. However, today, due to lower passenger volumes, fewer people participated in the CKG compared to previous days.

Stefano reminded travellers to ensure their health is maintained so they can arrive home safely.

Previously, the Deputy Minister of Health, Dante Saksono Harbuwono, stated that 121 PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) personnel at Gambir Station in Central Jakarta are medically fit to serve passengers during the 2026 Lebaran mudik flow.

Dante explained that Gambir Station also provides Free Health Checks (CKG) for departing passengers. Passengers simply need to show their identity card or ID and will be immediately served by the staff.
