Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daerah Operasi 1 Jakarta has designated an extraordinary stop (Berhenti Luar Biasa or BLB) at Jatinegara Station on Saturday for departures from Gambir Station to facilitate passengers boarding the train without being hindered by traffic density. This step was taken to anticipate congestion due to a cheap bazaar event in the National Monument area, which runs from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. WIB. “We are preparing Jatinegara Station as an alternative so that customers can still travel safely and comfortably, especially during dense conditions in the afternoon to evening,” said Manager of Public Relations for KAI Daop 1 Jakarta, Franoto Wibowo, in Jakarta on Saturday. With this additional stop, passengers have the option to board from Jatinegara Station if access to Gambir Station is congested. Franoto emphasised that this policy does not change the train travel schedules. Passengers are urged to arrive earlier and adjust their journey to the station. The trains stopping at Jatinegara Station today are KA 7008B Tambahan (Gambir–Yogyakarta), KA 8 Bima (Gambir–Surabaya), KA 36 Gajayana (Gambir–Malang), KA 124B Cakrabuana (Gambir–Purwokerto), KA 42 Sembrani (Gambir–Surabaya). Then, KA 32 Pandalungan (Gambir–Jember), KA 4B Argo Bromo Anggrek (Gambir–Surabaya Pasarturi), KA 14 Argo Lawu (Gambir–Solo Balapan), and KA 54 Purwojaya (Gambir–Cilacap).
