Gaikindo to Expand GIIAS Exhibition to Bali in 2027
Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) will expand its exhibition scope to Bali in 2027. This expansion is expected to bring automotive industry developments closer to communities across various regions, in line with Gaikindo’s commitment. Beyond showcasing the latest vehicles, GIIAS will also provide broader education on automotive technology and national industry developments. ‘We aim to communicate the expansion of this exhibition, where in early 2027, GIIAS The Series will add a new city to its schedule: Bali,’ said Gaikindo’s Executive Chairman, Anton Kemal Tasli Kumonty, in Jakarta on Tuesday. The exhibition’s expansion beyond cities such as Surabaya, Bandung, Semarang, Makassar, and Jakarta will provide local communities with easier access to their dream vehicles. ‘Gaikindo firmly believes that the wider the reach of this automotive exhibition, the greater the opportunities to drive positive growth and advancements in the national automotive industry,’ he added. This year’s GIIAS 2026 features the theme ‘Eye of the Future’, highlighting the future of smart and eco-friendly vehicles. Modern automotive technologies such as AI-powered vehicles, autonomous driving systems, and sustainable mobility solutions will take centre stage. As of May 2026, over 60 vehicle brands have confirmed participation, supported by hundreds of automotive partner brands. Organisers are optimistic that the expanded GIIAS will create greater opportunities for national automotive industry growth while boosting public enthusiasm for future vehicle technologies. This year, six new brands will participate in the exhibition, running from 30 July to 9 August 2026 at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) in BSD City, Tangerang.
