Gaikindo Targets 11,000 Business Visitors at GIICOMVEC 2026
The Indonesian Automotive Industry Association (Gaikindo) is once again staging the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Commercial Vehicle Expo (GIICOMVEC) 2026, a dedicated business-to-business (B2B) commercial vehicle exhibition. The event is scheduled to take place from 8 to 11 April 2026 at the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) Kemayoran, Jakarta.
Gaikindo Chairman Putu Juli Ardika said GIICOMVEC 2026 represents a strategic moment to strengthen Indonesia’s position as a vehicle production and export base, including in the commercial sector. According to him, the national automotive industry has demonstrated positive performance amid global dynamics.
He outlined that throughout 2025, Indonesia’s automotive exports reached 518,212 units to 93 countries. Of that total, commercial vehicles accounted for approximately 20,326 units.
“This is proof that Indonesian automotive products are increasingly recognised in international markets,” Putu said at a press conference in Jakarta on Monday (23/2/2026).
Currently, national motor vehicle production capacity stands at 2.59 million units per year. Gaikindo recorded that actual production in 2025 was in the range of 1.2 million units for domestic needs and exports. Going forward, the association is optimistic that this capacity can be maximised through to 2030.
Gaikindo Daily Chairman Anton Kemal Tasli Kumonty added that GIICOMVEC 2026 carries the theme “Indonesia’s Leading Commercial Vehicle Solution Expo”. The exhibition is focused as a commercial vehicle solutions centre showcasing the latest technology for the logistics, manufacturing, mining, and passenger transport sectors.
According to Anton, this year’s event will occupy Hall B and Hall C at JIExpo, covering a total area of approximately 16,000 square metres. A number of commercial vehicle brands have confirmed their participation, including Daihatsu, DFSK, Hino, Isuzu, Mitsubishi Fuso, Suzuki, Toyota, and Wuling, along with coachbuilding companies and supporting industries.
