Gadog Integrated Post with Aladdin's Palace Theme Serves Homebound Travellers on Puncak Route
Bogor (ANTARA) — The Gadog Integrated Post in Bogor has introduced a unique concept themed around “Aladdin’s Palace” to serve homebound travellers on the Puncak route in West Java Province during the 2026 Ketupat Lodaya Operation.
The post provides various facilities including a public electric vehicle charging station (SPKLU), mobile mechanics workshop, 24-hour health services, and a children’s play area.
“For weary travellers, the post provides seating areas, a cafeteria with complimentary coffee and mineral water, as well as prayer facilities,” said Ardian Novianto Azhari, Head of Operations at the Bogor Police Traffic Unit, to ANTARA at the Gadog Integrated Post on Saturday.
He noted that the “Aladdin’s Palace” theme was chosen to allow passing travellers to rest in a different atmosphere, featuring decorations such as Middle Eastern-style domes, ornamental Arabic gates, statues of Aladdin and Genie characters, camel replicas, and other decorative elements resembling the palace from the Aladdin story.
In addition, the integrated post operates EV charging stations for electric vehicles, offers free health checks, massage chairs, lactation rooms, and mobile mechanics workshops in collaboration with local communities to handle problematic vehicles, with plans to establish a children’s play area.
“Although this facility did not exist at the integrated post last year, we deployed mobile mechanics along the entire Puncak route to reach the nearest locations,” Ardian explained. “We normally scatter them, but this year we have been ordered to prepare everything here.”
“The mobile mechanics are prepared to quickly reach vehicles experiencing problems. This service is mobile and free for minor repairs,” he added.
The post is also equipped with patrol motorcycles known as “Smiley Motors,” operated by female traffic officers to assist travellers on the long and winding Puncak route.
“The Bogor Police Department has also prepared three smiley motor vehicles operated by female traffic officers for patrols along the Puncak route to reach travellers who are exhausted and unable to stop at the integrated post at Gadog Junction. We will provide necessary supplies such as water or food,” Ardian explained.
With comprehensive facilities and an attractive theme, the Gadog Integrated Post is expected not only to maintain smooth traffic flow but also to provide a comfortable rest experience for homebound travellers during their journey.
