GAC Indonesia will introduce the latest version of the AION UT electric car for the Indonesian market at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026, scheduled to take place from 30 July to 9 August at ICE BSD City, Tangerang, Banten.

CEO GAC Indonesia Andry Ciu stated that GIIAS 2026 serves as a momentum for the company to introduce refinements to the AION UT, demonstrating its commitment to listening to Indonesian consumers. He explained that the enhancements are designed to better suit the characteristics and preferences of Indonesian consumers without sacrificing the model’s advantages as a modern electric hatchback with a spacious cabin, smart technology support, cost-efficient ownership, and driving comfort. Ciu noted that the AION UT update retains the European-style design crafted by designer Stephan Janin.

Beyond displaying the updated AION UT, GAC Indonesia plans to present its range of electric vehicles, including the AION Y Plus, AION V, and HYPTEC HT, at GIIAS 2026. The company will occupy a 1,056-square-metre space at Hall 3A Booth 3F. Visitors to the stand can view vehicle models, learn about GAC’s electric vehicle technology, try various features, and participate in test drive sessions. GAC Indonesia has also prepared promotional programmes for consumers looking to purchase a vehicle during the exhibition. The company’s marketed vehicles include the AION UT Standard priced at Rp345 million, the AION UT Premium at Rp395 million, and the AION V Exclusive at Rp499 million. The lineup also features the AION V Luxury priced at Rp560 million, the AION Y Plus Premium at Rp419 million, the AION Y Plus Exclusive at Rp479 million, and the HYPTEC HT at Rp755 million.
