GAC Affirms Ambitions on the Global Automotive Stage

BEIJING - The Chinese automotive giant, GAC Group, has affirmed its ambition to not only lead the market in its home country but to become a key player on the global automotive stage.

This expansion is being pursued through a well-thought-out strategy focused on technological conversion and energy transition.

GAC views mastery of cutting-edge technology in the automotive sector as the key to propelling the company further.

“For GAC, globalisation is the tool that will determine how far we can go,” stated Feng Xingya at the Beijing Auto Show 2026 on Friday (24/4/2026).

GAC does not wish to be known merely as a vehicle exporter, but as a global entity capable of competing in quality with other legendary worldwide manufacturers.

“This is not just a strategic step from a Chinese company to world-class excellence, but also to develop GAC,” he said.

Furthermore, GAC has established a highly specific roadmap.

These grand ambitions are outlined in targets to be achieved by the end of this decade, including massive expansion of sales networks and production volumes in international markets.

“Ultimately, GAC has made international business a strategic priority, with goals of more than 120 countries, 2,000 company outlets, and 1,000,000 vehicles in 2030,” Feng emphasised.

GAC is also committed to sustainability values.

Amid global climate change issues, the energy transition towards environmentally friendly vehicles forms a main pillar in the development of their latest products.

GAC believes that by offering intelligent and clean mobility technology, they can win the hearts of global consumers who are increasingly concerned about the environment.

“We believe that globalisation not only advances the company but also secures the market by creating green smart mobility for use worldwide,” said Feng.
