Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The Indonesia Commodity and Derivatives Exchange recorded transaction volume of 2,610,010 lots from January to March 2026. This was 19% higher than in the same period in 2025, when total transaction volume reached 2,435,491 lots.

Of the total transactions in the first quarter of 2026, multilateral transactions grew by 13%. Their volume rose from 408,076 lots in the first quarter of 2025 to 460,402 lots in the same period in 2026.

The first-quarter figures provide a boost for the commodity futures trading industry in 2026. In other words, the ecosystem continues to enjoy public confidence as an alternative investment.

The Indonesia Commodity and Derivatives Exchange also forecasts that the growth trend will continue through the end of 2026, with a target of around 20% growth compared with 2025.

To support this trend, economic media outlet CNBC Indonesia will recognise innovation and contributions by futures trading industry players in developing the commodity futures market through the Road to CNBC Indonesia Award 2026, ‘Best Futures Companies’.

The award will recognise futures trading industry players that prioritise transparency, good governance and regulatory compliance in order to strengthen investor confidence.

Before the awards are presented, an exclusive discussion will explore innovations and strategies among futures commodity industry players. It will be hosted live by a CNBC Indonesia anchor and feature qualified speakers.

The Road to CNBC Indonesia Award is part of the CNBC Indonesia Awards 2026, which will be held at a later date.

The awards recognise businesses and industries that contribute to Indonesia’s economic progress. As part of the event series, interviews with speakers will also be broadcast each week on the programmes Profit, Power Lunch and Closing Bell.

The full Road to CNBC Indonesia Awards 2026 series will be broadcast live on CNBC Indonesia TV and at www.cnbcindonesia.com.
