Furoda Hajj Visa No Longer Exists, SAPUHI: Avoid Falling into the 'Batman Trap'

The Chairman of the Indonesian Union of Umrah and Hajj Organisers (SAPUHI), Syam Resfiadi, has reminded that the furoda Hajj visa no longer exists. Prospective Hajj pilgrims are urged to join the queue based on Indonesia’s official national quota. “It’s audacious for travel agents to lure prospective Hajj pilgrims who don’t want to queue, which could lead them to fall into the ‘Batman trap’; furoda has not been available since last year, when King Salman announced it,” said Syam to Republika on Wednesday (15/4/2026). Syam explained that the furoda Hajj visa is no longer available outside the Nusuk system. Meanwhile, the Mujamalah Hajj visa is only for individuals directly selected by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the Saudi Embassy in each respective country. “Therefore, prospective Hajj pilgrims for 1447 Hijriah (2026) should queue through each country’s official Hajj quota to ensure they receive official Hajj visas, even if it means waiting,” said Syam. Syam warned that failing to queue through official national Hajj quotas often leads to widespread speculation about visas outside the quota, resulting in victims of fraud or failed departures.
