Funeral Prayer Held for Ali Khamenei at Jamkaran Mosque

Millions of mourners gathered at the Jamkaran Mosque in Qom on Tuesday (7/7) to perform the funeral prayer for Iran’s supreme leader Ali Khamenei and his family, which was led by Abdollah Javadi Amoli. The event was attended by a throng of citizens, intellectuals, seminary students, government officials, and even top military commanders, alongside other prominent figures. Following the prayer, the funeral procession moved from the Jamkaran Mosque towards the holy site of Hazrat Fatemeh Masoumeh (PBUH). Crowds had been arriving at the mosque since Monday afternoon, filling the grounds and corridors before dawn. Waves of mourners continued to stream in, both on foot and by vehicle, some carrying red flags and Iranian flags. Khamenei’s coffin was transported from Tehran on Monday (6/7), before continuing the funeral procession to several cities, including Qom, Najaf, Karbala, and finally Mashhad, where the body will be interred at the holy shrine of Imam Reza.
