Functional Lane of Japek II South Opened, Impact of Contraflow on Japek Toll Road

Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad (JMT) Regional Division, together with PT Jasamarga Japek Selatan, began operating the functional lane of Japek II South on Thursday (19/3/2026) at 09.55 WIB. The operation of this lane is at the discretion of the police as a response to the addition of contraflow lanes on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road towards Cikampek, which has resulted in fewer lanes for vehicles heading to Jakarta. Widiyatmiko Nursejati, Senior General Manager of Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad, stated that the Functional Lane of Japek II South can be accessed via the Sadang access at KM 77 on the Cipularang Toll Road towards Jakarta and can be traversed up to the Bojongmangu toll gate. “Road users can then continue their journey through the Delta Mas area and re-enter the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road via the Cibatu toll gate,” Widiyatmiko said in his official statement. However, as it is still in functional lane status, road users are urged not to drive faster than 40 km/h, to maintain a safe distance, and to continue to obey traffic signs and instructions from officers on the ground. In addition, drivers are reminded to ensure sufficient balance on their electronic cards so that their journey remains smooth, especially when re-entering the main toll road section.
