JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com — The Head of the Government Communication Agency of the Republic of Indonesia, Angga Raka Prabowo, stated that President Prabowo Subianto has long been the target of various slanders and negative accusations. “If you think about it, Mr Prabowo is often maligned and accused of all sorts of things. With apologies, none of the accusations have been proven to this day,” Angga said in the Gaspol! Podcast aired on Tuesday (7/4/2026). “Perhaps those who still accuse him today do not admit that their accusations are wrong,” he added. As someone close to Prabowo, Angga admitted to often feeling annoyed by these various accusations. However, he noted that Prabowo’s attitude is the opposite. “But when I look back at Mr Prabowo, Mr Prabowo is no hate, no revenge; there should be no hatred, no grudges,” Angga said. He also emphasised that there are no restrictions on information in the president’s inner circle. Prabowo actively accesses various pieces of information. “The president today is called tone-deaf, unwilling to hear criticism, or perhaps reading things different from us. I emphasise that Mr Prabowo’s hobbies are reading, watching, and listening,” Angga said.
