Full Text of the 2026 National Awakening Day Ceremony Prayer and Order of Proceedings
The 2026 National Awakening Day (Harkitnas) ceremony will be held on its anniversary, 20 May. Within the ceremony’s proceedings, there is a dedicated segment for the reading of a prayer.
Quoting from the 2026 National Awakening Day Commemoration Guidelines released by the Ministry of Communication and Digital (Komdigi), the following is the prayer text for the 2026 Harkitnas ceremony.
Prayer
IN COMMEMORATION OF THE 118TH NATIONAL AWAKENING DAY
Date: 20 MAY 2026
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. O Allah, bestow blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family.
O Allah, our Lord,
All praise belongs solely to You, who has bestowed unending blessings and grace. It is to You alone we worship, and to You alone we seek assistance.
O Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful,
By Your permission, we are able to conduct the 118th National Awakening Day ceremony in 2026 with great spirit and solemnity.
O Allah, guide us to become individuals who are always grateful, who honour the sacrifices of our heroes, and who remain enthusiastic in contributing to the glory of this Nation and State.
Unite us under the Red and White Flag; grant us the strength to constantly support one another in advancing the nation, so that Indonesia may become a more just, prosperous, and welfare-oriented country.
O Allah, the All-Knowing,
Lead us on the path of truth and keep us away from all evil. Protect us from being easily incited or divided, so that the Indonesian nation does not become fragmented.
O Lord, You have granted independence to this nation through the sacrifices of our heroes. We beseeach You to forgive the sins of our heroes; bestow Your mercy upon them and keep the fighters of our Homeland in Your divine care.
Our Lord, grant us good in this world and good in the hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.
Our Lord, accept this from us, for You are the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing, and accept our repentance, for You are the Acceptor of Repentance, the Most Merciful. All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the Worlds.
Order of the 2026 Harkitnas Ceremony
The ceremony must follow the sequence of activities officially established. The order of the 2026 Harkitnas flag ceremony is as follows:
Raising of the Red and White Flag
Singing of the National Anthem, Indonesia Raya
A moment of silence
Reading of the Pancasila and the Preamble to the 1945 Constitution
Reading of the speech by the Minister of Communication and Digital welcoming the 118th National Awakening Day by the Ceremony Inspector
Singing of patriotic songs (Bagimu Negeri and Satu Nusa Satu Bangsa)
Reading of the prayer
