Full Month Ramadan 2026 Iftar Schedule for Jakarta

The start of Ramadan fasting in 2026 according to the government falls on 19 February 2026. This determination was based on the results of the isbat session held on Tuesday, 17 February 2026.

“It has been agreed that 1 Ramadan 1447 H falls on Thursday, 19 February 2026,” said Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar at a press conference following the isbat session.

When is Eid al-Fitr 2026?

Based on the Joint Ministerial Decree on National Holidays and Collective Leave for 2026 and the 2026 Hijri Calendar issued by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Eid al-Fitr 2026 is expected to fall on 21 March 2026, followed by the second day of Eid al-Fitr on 22 March 2026.

Nevertheless, the government will still conduct an isbat session to officially determine the date of Eid al-Fitr 2026, or 1 Syawal 1447 H. The isbat session will be organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Meanwhile, Muhammadiyah has already set the date for Eid al-Fitr 2026 through the Global Unified Hijri Calendar (KHGT) 1447 H. According to the KHGT, the Muhammadiyah version of Eid al-Fitr 1447 H/2026 falls on 20 March 2026.
