Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The government has officially decided to adjust several non-subsidised fuel prices domestically, effective 1 June 2026 at PT Pertamina (Persero) public fuel stations. According to Pertamina Patra Niaga’s official website, affected fuels include Pertamax Turbo, which saw a price increase, and diesel, which decreased. Pertamax prices remained unchanged.

The changes come amid volatile global crude oil prices and a significantly weakened rupiah against the US dollar. These two factors are key determinants in adjusting domestic non-subsidised fuel prices.

Refinitiv data shows the average Brent crude price in May 2026 stood at $103.71 per barrel, a 1.22% increase from the previous month’s average.

Meanwhile, the average global crude price for West Texas Intermediate (WTI) was $98.42 per barrel in May, a slight 0.37% rise from April’s average of $98.06 per barrel.
