Full Details: Indonesia's 2026 State Budget Projected to End Year with 100% Revenue Target Met

Jakarta - Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa has presented the performance of the 2026 State Budget (APBN) up to the first semester of 2026, along with the outlook until the end of the year. The report indicates that the APBN deficit is expected to widen from its initial target.

Purbaya stated that state revenue in the first semester of 2026 reached Rp1,459.4 trillion, or 46.3% of the APBN target. By the end of the year, state revenue is estimated to reach Rp3,208.1 trillion, or 101.7% of the target.

Meanwhile, state expenditure up to the first semester of 2026 reached Rp1,656.0 trillion, or 43.1% of the APBN ceiling. By the end of the year, state expenditure is estimated to reach Rp3,942.4 trillion, or 102.6% of the ceiling. This condition indicates that the government’s spending needs until the end of the year could potentially exceed the initial ceiling.

This increase is particularly visible in central government spending, especially spending by ministries and agencies, which is estimated to reach 107.9% of the APBN ceiling.

The rise in the 2026 spending outlook can be linked to additional expenditure requirements, such as for the payment of government obligations like energy subsidies and compensation.

Under these conditions, the 2026 APBN deficit is estimated to reach Rp734.3 trillion, or 2.85% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). This deficit is larger than the initial 2026 APBN target of Rp689.1 trillion, or 2.68% of GDP.
