TANGERANG — Police have arrested an individual named Jimmy Lie, a fugitive in a corruption and bribery case involving the processing of land certificates through the Systematic Land Registration Programme (PTSL) in Tangerang Regency.

Jimmy has been listed on Interpol’s Red Notice since four years ago, specifically on 22 September 2025.

“Jimmy Lie is a fugitive who has been sought since 2022. He was placed on Interpol’s Red Notice on 22 September 2025 and has finally been returned to account for the act of corruption he has committed,” said National Secretary of the Central Bureau (Ses NCB) of Interpol Indonesia, Brigadier General Untung Widyamoko, as quoted by Antara on Monday (9 March 2026).

“The return of Jimmy Lie’s Red Notice this evening is the result of cooperation between the International Relations Division, Tangerang City Police Precinct, the Indonesian Consulate in Penang, the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Immigration, and the Indonesian Military at the Indonesian Consulate in Penang,” explained Untung.

Untung stated that Jimmy Lie is currently experiencing health complications, so the police are providing care to maintain his condition.

“And tomorrow, God willing, we will hand him over directly to the Prosecutor’s Office for the next phase,” Untung concluded.

Meanwhile, Metro Tangerang City Police Chief Brigadier Raden Muhammad Jauhari said that Jimmy Lie was detected entering Indonesia through Kuala Namu International Airport in Medan on Sunday.

“Our personnel immediately coordinated and departed to apprehend the suspect,” said Jauhari.

Other parties involved in the case — Hasbulah, Sueb, Iman Nugraha, and Raden Febie — have been convicted and sentenced to between one year nine months and two years nine months imprisonment. Jimmy Lie fled abroad before he could be tried.
