Fuel Transport Aircraft Found Burnt After Crash in Nunukan, Pilot Feared Dead
Nunukan, VIVA – A fuel transport aircraft that crashed in Krayan, Nunukan, North Kalimantan, on Thursday afternoon, 19 February 2026, has been found in a burnt-out condition with a confirmed fatality.
“The aircraft has been found,” said Lianthoni, the head of East Krayan sub-district, via text message.
According to him, the aircraft was discovered at Pa’ Belaban in the Pa’ Betung area of East Krayan sub-district.
He also reported that there was one fatality, believed to be the pilot of the aircraft, whose remains were found in a burnt state.
“Yes, that is correct, and the body has been taken to the Long Bawan community health centre,” he said.
