Jakarta – PT Pertamina (Persero) through PT Pertamina Patra Niaga has assured that the national fuel supply is currently safe and under control amid the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr of 2026 and evolving global geopolitical dynamics. Corporate Secretary of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Roberth MV Dumatubun, said that the availability of BBM at around 21 days represents the operational stock managed within the national energy logistics system to guarantee smooth energy distribution across Indonesia. He explained that this operational supply is the fuel stock stored and already meeting the national storage capacity for BBM that will be distributed to the public. The volume of this supply is dynamic and continually updated or replenished in line with public energy consumption needs. ‘The stock of around 21 days managed by Pertamina Patra Niaga is fuel stock that is normally kept within the national energy logistics system. The stock is continually topped up or replenished through production from domestic refineries or imports that have been planned long in advance, routinely and periodically, so the public does not need to worry about fuel availability,’ said Roberth. He added that Pertamina has an integrated energy supply chain management system, from crude oil procurement and BBM products, refining at domestic refineries, transportation, to distribution to various regions of Indonesia. This system ensures energy availability remains safeguarded and accessible to the public evenly. ‘Pertamina Patra Niaga continues to monitor global developments and has prepared various anticipatory measures, including diversification of crude oil and BBM supply sources, strengthening logistics and distribution resilience, optimisation of domestic refinery operations, and increased coordination with the government and all stakeholders,’ explained Roberth. With these measures, Pertamina Patra Niaga ensures the national energy supply chain continues to operate smoothly, so that the needs of the public can be met optimally. Furthermore, Roberth urged the public to remain calm and not engage in excessive BBM purchasing (panic buying). Unusual purchases could disrupt distribution that should operate normally.
